CSP – PRINCIPAL
Marcel Tack has been in the building products industry for more than 20 years, with extensive experience in manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing of both interior and exterior products. Marcel has held senior management positions in Canada and the U.S.A. for Georgia-Pacific and CertainTeed. Marcel’s professionalism, formal education and training, combined with years of practical knowledge and understanding of building products and applications brings tremendous value to Tec Agencies Ltd. This knowledge and experience affords the company the opportunity to be solutions providers to distributors, contractors, builders, general contractors, envelope consultants, and the specification community. Away from the office Marcel coaches his kids, loves to ski, run, cycle, and is an avid mountain biker and adventure racer.
CTR – PRINCIPAL
Kimberly Tompkins, FCSC, CTR has been working in the construction industry for 30 years as a technical sales representative for some of the leading façade systems manufacturers in North America. A Certified Technical Representative (CTR) with Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) since 1999, and a member of their College of Fellows (FCSC) for the past 7 years. Kim currently serves as Past President of Construction Specifications Canada, completing 6 years on the Executive Council in 2023. Kim has held many leadership positions within construction associations such as the British Columbia Wall and Ceiling Association (BCWCA), British Columbia Building Envelope Council (BCBEC), National Building Envelope Council (NBEC), and Canadian Construction Women (CCW). Proudly, Kim is the first woman to win the Joe Whitehead Award from the British Columbia Wall and Ceiling Association for outstanding service to the construction industry.
Kim brings an attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service to the Tec Agencies team, focusing on the architectural, engineering and consultant communities. When Kim is away from the office, she can usually be found riding her Victory Vegas Motorcycle, and as a former paddler she still loves the world of Dragon Boat Racing and is now a mentor and an accredited official with Dragon Boat Canada and the International Dragon Boat Federation. (IDBF).
Sales Operations Manager
Dryden Dion has been in the construction industry for approximately 8 years, with extensive experience in distribution, sales, and marketing. Dryden has attained a degree in both Economics and Statistics and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Calgary, while currently working towards gaining his CTR from CSC. Dryden was also on the University of Calgary baseball team as a catcher. Dryden’s determination, formal education and training, combined with years of practical knowledge from the construction industry brings tremendous value to Tec Agencies Ltd. Outside of work, Dryden enjoys all things sports related, going on hikes, and watching Formula 1.
